On Monday, July 13th and Tuesday, July 14th MITO2i and MitoRevolution hosted the inaugural Designing Mitochondria for the Future – Summer Program.
This program engaged 28 high school students from over 180 applicants to come and learn about mitochondrial health and disease, mitochondrial transplantation, moving to the clinical setting, organ-on-a-chip, engineering and computer science, AI and bioprocessing, and rare disease. The students got to tour 4 labs, participate in a pipetting activity, tour the UofT campus, and complete a group activity on interdisciplinary research.
